No, it wasn't specifically at you. It just seems like every time people start hating on saddleseat and its riders/trainers/horses, it's' from people with zero experience, who automatically assume everything we do is cruel because one time they saw something about soring TWH and just assume it's the same for Saddlebreds and other trotting breeds, that everyone mistreats their horses, and all of our horses are miserable and lame and must have all kinds of health problems because of what we "force them" to do. Like they see a photo of a tail set or a padded shoe and assume the horses wear them 24/7 and never get to do anything but stand in a stall and no amount of saddleseat riders saying "No that's not in any way true" will make a difference to them spouting off about how 'horrible' saddleseat is. I just get tired of it sometimes. And it came out last night. Apologies if it felt directed at you specifically.
