Hacking into SHIELD was not a usual Sunday morning for him but Elliot did have a habit of keeping an eye on these sorts of organizations.

Elliot was taking a peek behind the curtain so to speak, reading up on things he shouldn’t but that wasn’t unusual for him. It was his version of reading the Sunday morning paper for a few hours.
At some point his snooping must have tripped some cyber wire somewhere in their security, which was pretty advanced mind you but not even SHIELD had a perfect defense. Ironic. Elliot’s screen glitched, several lines of code spelling out that his access had been cut off. 𝚂𝚑𝚒𝚝. 𝙾𝚔𝚊𝚢 𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚢 𝚌𝚊𝚕𝚖. Getting up, Elliot quickly started pulling his system apart. If they couldn’t catch him with evidence then there was nothing for him to get in trouble with. The sound of a car door closing down on his street caught his attention and his paranoia set into play. 𝙳𝚒𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢 𝚠𝚊𝚒𝚝 𝚝𝚘 𝚕𝚘𝚌𝚔 𝚖𝚎 𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚞𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚕 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢 𝚑𝚊𝚍 𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎? 𝙵𝚞𝚌𝚔. Fingers tore several data and memory chips out from his set up and Elliot hurried over to the kitchen to throw them in the microwave before setting it for several minutes. Taking a look out the window, there was a fancy black car there. 𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚢 𝚌𝚊𝚕𝚖. 𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚢 𝚌𝚊𝚕𝚖. 𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚢 𝚌𝚊𝚕𝚖.
Maybe that car wasn’t there. Maybe it was in his head. Telling himself that didn’t help with the tightening in his chest. The adrenaline pumping through his veins. Hard drive was tossed on the coffee table before he started drilling holes into it. The chips in the microwave had started to crackle and spark. Okay so his basis were covered, sure this wasn’t the perfect way to wipe but it was the most effective as a quick method. It was just in time too because a knock at his door had Elliot jolting like a startled rabbit. Flipper started barking and he shushed her unsuccessfully, following her to the door as she started scratching against it. Taking a breath, Elliot slid off the chain and opened his door a crack. “--Hi?” Was all that came out when the door wasn’t being knocked in on him. There was no way this was a hallucination right? Why would his brain dream up Tony Stark? Or maybe it had. Brow furrowed. “Aren’t you...”
