It was unfair of her, to have waited so long.
Rose knew she had always had the potential to reach into Steven’s dreams. Their gem connected them, their minds were intertwined, but even so, she had been... uncertain. He deserved answers, but she was not sure if he was ready. He was so young... and yet...
He’d given himself up to Homeworld in her place.
Her son, facing against the tyrants she’d fought so hard to free the Earth from? It terrified her, and now, alone and afraid, she had no choice. Steven needed guidance --- he needed answers, so, as Steven slept, awaiting the trial to decide his fate, his gem began to glow, and within his dreams a space similar to Lion’s mane formed. Upon the hill, surrounded by roses, Rose herself sat, linking her fingers together and setting them in her lap. It didn’t take long for him to appear, and finally, she smiled.
“Hello, Steven.”
