Bang.
Kevin Nash vs Bill Goldberg
Day 3 of Starrcade 1998: Will I ever finish
The answer is YES because I'm on the last match.
The WHOOOLE reason I love this ppv - can you guess WHY 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
173-1
Suck it bill goldberg
Kidman vs Eddie Guerrero
Soooooo, Eddie admonishing Rey and Juvi in the ring, Kidman comes back out and challenges Eddie to another match, immediately.
Another great cruiserweight match, Kidman was WORKING for his paycheck tonight.
Ric Flair vs Eric Bischoff
Alllllmost didn't mention this one.
I'm still mad that the last two weeks they've been doing a fake "ric had a heart attack on tv" angle that was just in terrible taste and was clearly showing wcw in decline under bad leadership.
But....its also the return of my man, Curt Hennig....Curt, baby, get better friends ffs
Brian Adams & Scott Norton vs Fit Finlay & Jerry Flynn
I.... what??
This is a pay per view right? Not a house show?
I've never seen these teams tag before? So there's zero heat, zero logic behind this booking. Nothing against any of them individually, but this just is weird.
Finlay and Flynn apparently were coming back from tagging in New Japan... but i think regular tv is where you start them as a team stateside, not a ppv.
But bischoff had his head so far up his own ass at this point, he couldn’t book anything.
Saturn vs Ernest Miller
This was a decent match if not...a little boring. No fault of Saturn's, Ernest "the Cat" Miller is just not a character that I care enough to hate or like. He was more likely to make me change the channel than to stay and watch his opponent.
But I'll stay for Saturn ❤️
Norman Smiley vs Prince Iaukea
So....Norman Smiley was a pretty good worker...but he was mostly a jobber? Until the last few weeks of WCW where he's been trying to create a cocky persona....but it's falling short.
Prince Iaukea was actually very good - held a belt a few times, but was used incredibly inconsistently. The match was ok, though I could use less of Smiley gyrating. And that's ME, saying THAT...so...
