just so we’re all on the same page, i’ve decided to go a little more into depth with points and when they should be earned. please let me know if there’s any questions or if something doesn’t make sense!!

starting points | this is the amount of points that were given to you by the admins when you first joined, which is based on the amount of headcanons provided and the extracurriculars that your character is apart of.
text message starters | this is when you put an open text message starter in the tag; it doesn’t count towards text message starters that you make for a specific character. this is a one time per open starter gain.
gif chat starters | this is when you put an open starter in the tag. (an open ftf/para starter would not count for this category, it would instead count for your ftf/para points category. read more about this category a little further down!) this is a one time per open starter gain.
starter replies | this is for every initial reply you give to a starter that is in the tag. this is a one time per conversation gain. (so you would be getting the points for the first reply, not every reply that comes afterwards as well.)
connections made | this is for every pre-established connection you’ve plotted with other members. this is a one time per connection gain.
ftf/para points | this is for every thread you have going with another character. for example, if you make an open ftf starter (which would not count as a gif chat starter point gain) and three people reply, you would consider this to be three different gains since you have three threads going with three different people. this is a one time per thread gain, not by reply.
hitting the ask limit | this is for every time you hit the ask limit! this is a one time per ask limit gain.
social media posts | this is for every social media post; twitter, instagram, snapchat, and the rest. this is a one time per post gain, and a character may not post social media posts multiple times within a twenty-four hour period. (just to spare any potential spamming of social media posts.) be sure to use the starredsocial tag rather than the starredstarter tag for these posts!
creative content | this is for moodboards, edits, playlists, and any other creative content that you’ve created for your character or a connection. please use the starredcontent tag for any of these posts! this is a one time per post gain.
task participation | this is for completing a task/challenge posted by the main. this is a one point per task gain.
mini-group activities | this is for participating in a mini-group activities (for example, if there’s flooding in the hecate dorms and your character interacts with the prompt, or if the slam poetry club has a reading and your character participates, etc.) these points will only be eligible for whichever mini-group (or groups!) it is specifically for. this is a one time per activity gain.
group events | this is for engaging in any of the events planned by the main. we will always specify when an event is eligible for these points, as we did with the naughty or nice party. this is a one time per event gain.
bonus points | this is for extra points that don’t fit in any other category; for example, the winners of the naughty or nice challenge would post their points to this section. the amount of points will always be specified whenever they’re available to be earned.
total points | this is your total number of points, which you’ll turn into the main each friday. (but don’t worry about that just yet, because we’ll have more info for that as well!)
