Sometimes John gets a wistful longing to close one hand around a baseball, to slip the other hand into a glove, and have the outdoors equal baseball, the way it did for most of his life. Sometimes he remembers how many years he spent viewing grass only as the canvas for the field, a background for the ball to pop against.

Sherlock never seems to miss baseball with the acuteness that attacks John…but always seems attuned to when that mood hits John, showing up with ball and glove and an invitation of studied casualness. “Care for a game of catch?”

I am not sure if I'm supposed to pick a show or if you're supposed to have suggested one, so I'm just gonna pick IWTV and say Lestat... which is obvious but also the first thing that came to my mind.

Well, I sure as hell AM thinking about it!! Needy little fledgling vampire Wicklow, mmmm...

He is so very tired, you see, and has probably been avoiding feeding because of weird Wicklow rules in his head. But Rhoades is in his chair behind his desk and beckons him over and then I sort of imagine like the feeding from the wrist scene in Near Dark but Wicklow just on his knees.

OMG, that "I carry your heart with me" locket - I can so see OFD John finding that at a market and giving it to Sherlock, and Sherlock completely losing his mind over it. He would wear it under his clothes and never, ever take it off. Every time John unwraps him, he touches the locket and whispers "I carry your heart with me," and opens the locket and Sherlock responds, "I carry it in my heart." I'M SORRY FOR BEING SO CHEESY, BUT THAT'S WHAT THEY DO TO MEEEE!

Right? It did not sell the Happily Ever After. I think also, the fact that Pike does all the adorable things he does, and HENRY! HIS NAME WAS HENRY, RIGHT? *ahem* Well we only see Henry *start* to appreciate Pike by the end, and we want him like, being adorable to Pike in some equivalent way. We wanna seeeeee itttttt.

I found a little extra story you wrote for Charlie and Will, that I had saved from your LJ, I think? Anyway, it's the one where they go to abuela's for Christmas, and Charlie takes Will into the bathroom to calm him down. Hoooooooo boy, I forgot how hot that was!!!

aha is that still on AO3? I don’t imagine anyone reads it there, if it is. I might have taken it down though. hmm I suppose... it could go on the website at some point. I put the other actual more Christmas-y Christmas story there, after all. 

My old LJ icon, that someone very nice made for me, was a quote from that story. Though all my old icons seem to have disappeared. Rude. Anyway. It said Charlie loves me and that’s all that matters.
