@starsfled / JIRAIYA ( CONTINUED )
"You are?" A finger taps at her chin, "I must have forgotten. Strange because Tsunade-sama never has to go around shouting that she's a Legendary Sanin," grins the kunoichi. The world appears to, quite literally, be burning down all around them, but Sakura's confidence in the situation is enough to insist on teasing Jiraiya in the moment.
She watches Jiraiya with one of his many toads nearly in awe. She understands the chakra needed for a summoning especially Katsuyu — whom she cannot currently summon or even utilize until she's mastered Tsunade's most importance jutsu, the byakugou. She's curious if Jiraiya's toads are similar in their own way.
Attention back to the task at hand, she gives the sage a nod despite her earlier teasing. It's a simple enough task that it's almost banal.
Jade green eyes look around and survey the surroundings to catch as many of their enemies in the jutsu as possible with the precise amount of chakra to capture all of them in her man-made earthquake. With her scope in sight, Sakura turns her head to Jiraiya with a fist ready at her side and nods with an affirmative, "Hmph."
❝𝐃𝐎 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐆𝐀𝐑 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐓𝐄𝐀, @starsfled? I feel like you must.❞ It was a running theory she had with Gaia, much to the other's chagrin, that a person's preference for sweet things were the result of their personality. After all, her logic was solid! Her companion liked dark coffee, no sugar or milk—Ryne could think of nothing worse. Urianger had always liked a little sugar in his tea, and Thancred... well. Such drinks were for the practicality, he said. Sugar helped keep one awake when the saccharine sting caused his mouth to pucker. He didn't count.
A plate of biscuits was set out between them, still warm from the oven. That she had the time to plan ahead; she swore she never got used to it. ❝Beq Lugg told me to add a little salt to the dough this time.❞ She held up her thumb and forefinger. ❝Just a little. It supposed to bring out the flavours.❞
"This place is cursed." (From Porter to F1X 1T M4N)
idr the prompt tbh — @starsfled
The talk about something so otherworldly doesn't faze him in the slightest, but it does conjure something to get at a later point. Wouldn't be a bad idea to construct some kind of detection device for this sort of thing. Especially with how often he's been getting calls about the esoteric as of late.
"Sure, I'll take your word for it." Kind of has to until something actually happens. "It matter, though?"
that was weird. ( nanami to gojo mayaps ?)
KPOP DEMON HUNTERS (2025) ⊱ rp prompt : accepting !
The higher ups assigned Nanami and Gojo together to tackle an estimated first grade curse haunting the Tokyo railways at night – Nanami was perfectly capable of handling it, Satoru was certain, but perhaps his assignment was a formality since most estimations of first grades were underestimations if anything… though he’s always glad to lend a hand to one of his favorite (and only…) kohai.
They arrived deep into the night when the trains had stopped running, giving them ample time and space to conduct their investigations. The tunnel was frothing with cursed energy – they didn’t need Satoru’s Six Eyes to say so. It was dizzying, disorienting… and something that needed to be culled before anybody else fell sick or even died from it.
As Nanami went to investigate one part of the tunnel, Satoru went to investigate another. While Satoru might’ve easily found the source of the curse, it was as if…
“I think it’s taken hold of the tunnel itself.” Satoru says, rubbing his chin. “There’s no way around it. I think I might have to bl-”
Drip. Drip. Drip.
He’s hushed by liquids dripping over his head.
“That was weird,” Nanami said.
There’s no forecast for rain, and there’s no water source above them, either.
“You think so?” Satoru responded in kind, looking up at the source of the droplets. He has half the mind to open his mouth to taste what’s dripping on him – before a huge gob of cursed slime falls from the ceiling, enveloping him in its essence and swallowing him into its form.
"Keep the lights on." [ Piers to Matsumura Haruo mayhaps? ]
idr the prompt but it's juicy — @starsfled
Another second and the lights would've been promptly cut. "Huh?" Confused as can be, his fingers still just over the switch. "What for?" Haruo only asks to understand, not to voice any sort of irritation or the like. "Something wrong?" He's painfully unaware of the thing lurking behind him.
