When it came to training, Raven never really ended up being up-close with her opponents. Magic rarely required it. However, this time, it wasn’t magic she was using. She was learning how to fight people up-close, and Koriand’r was a worthy opponent when it came to that.

Feeling as her body was starting to tire, her breathing was heavy as her friend’s lips brushed against her temple in reassurance. A faint smile appeared on her lips at the sentiment; reminding her that it was just sparring, which caused her nerves to settle slowly.

“Are you all right?” she inquired, allowing her hand to brush Koriand’r’s arm gently. She probably was. Knowing Koriand’r, she was capable of handling more than what people realized, but Raven still wanted to let her know that she cared.
