Looking for some more Marvel expies/pastiches in DC Comics I’ve noticed something with the Cadre
Since Overmaster is clearly based on Galactus I’ve done some comparisons with each members of the Cadre.
Shatterfist - He is obviously based on Marvel’s Iron Fist, A martial artist wearing a half-mask and fists that can “shatter” anything.
Black Mass - Originally I thought he was one of Luke Cage or Power Man due to him being paired up with Shatterfist in Justice League Unlimited, However his powers are apparently Gravity manipulation so he’s closer to Avengers villain Graviton.
Fastball - His power was described as being able to throw any object in high speeds that it can become deadly and also never miss any target, So he’s mostly based on Daredevil villain Bullseye.
Nightfall - With her I’m gonna go with Cloak since she came two years after Cloak’s comic debut (Also worth noting is that Meanstreak a character with similar powers to Dagger eventually joined a new version of the Cadre).
Shrike - seems to be one of Namor villain Griffin, However her successor Starshrike is mostly similar to Spider-Man villain Vulture.
Crowbar - Crowbar is the most obvious one, being an expy of Thor/Hulk villain Wrecker leader of the Wrecking Crew however he doesn’t seem to have super-strength he does have a Crowbar that could absorb and redirect any kinds of energy.
Interestingly the Cadre’s origins is very similar to the Squadron Sinister’s origin, Both of them were formed by a cosmic being that has the word ‘master’ in their title (Grandmaster - Overmaster), Some of the members were humans given superpowers by said cosmic being, And both of them were sent out to fight against the famous superhero teams of both Marvel and DC
