Jaskier would never have subjected Geralt to all of this had he not but interested in the idea. Hell, he didn’t want anything to do with his parents in general, but pissing them off felt a good way to part ways from them for likely the last time. Not to mention see his brother and sister for the first time in ages. He held no hard feelings for them, but their reluctance to associate with him anymore left him more than just a tad bitter.
The miles before arriving at his family estate were meant for just a bit of prior knowledge for Geralt. After all, he knew absolutely nothing about the dynamic of his family. He’d mentioned his parents loads of times as they kept continually attempting to get Jaskier off the path and into the arms of a woman he could wed, bed, and heir with. Fuck that. He had enough children, thank you.
“Honestly, the most you need to really know is their names. Everything else is irrelevant, because you won’t know them for long and likely won’t see them again after today,” Despite his attitude toward the entire thing, their was a prominent air of anxiety to the bard.
He’d been away from home for nearly 25 years, and this was what he planned to be the last time he saw his family. All he could hope was that it didn’t go horribly wrong any more than he knew it would.
“My father is Cyryl, mum is Tilda. I have an older sister named Klara, and a younger brother named Feliks. Gran and Gramp are long dead, so no use to remembering their names, though we might stop off to the family cemetery for the sake of paying respects, since they both passed while I’ve been away. Any questions otherwise, love?”
