                     john hopped down from his truck, leather gloves already in hand. the late afternoon sun kissed his neck as he shut the door and turned to face the front steps of the unit. his god-parents’ tenant sat on their front steps, waiting for him. “ hey there,” the tall man called with a smile. “ i don’t think we’ve met just yet, ‘m john, ” he held his hand out in greeting as he approached them. “ collin says your dishwasher was acting up?? ”
