Breathing was heavy as the music ended and the lights went down, eyes never leaving those of his partner, Leo. A close friend and fellow dance instructor, someone he felt he could be entirely honest with. And lately, he didn’t feel he had a whole lot of people like that in his life. When he’d met Leo, he’d had no idea how much he needed someone like the other in his life, but the longer they knew each other, the more he realized that he would very likely be lost without him. Maybe he was a little bit oblivious to his feelings at times, or all the time. But that was beside the point. For now, at least. He took a deep breath and looked to Leo, smiling as he spoke softly, “you did amazing.”
