I’m pretty damn proud of how this turned out! I did a side by side of the original drawing and digital one to see any differences. The rays are softer in 1 and sharper in 2!

Also, this is obvs an older (maybe teen?) version of Soleil as they’re around 6 years old or so in my timeline for the AU!!

Here’s a drawing ref of Adult Jack for my StarTools fankids AU! (name pending)

The first drawing is the initial concept and the second drawing is the official reference! I struggled a lot with choosing the colors, but I finally settled with these! Also some fun facts about/my thoughts while making the drawings under the cut!

🎃 I always intended for Jack to wear more baggy-esque clothing!

🎃 I leaned heavily into the scarecrow side of Jack! Silly scarecrow!! :D

🎃 At first, I drew Jack wearing proper shoes but then I thought “Well, this is Jack we’re talking about”, and scratched that idea for trapeze shoes instead (easier to climb in too for him!)

🎃 For the patterned lower legs, I thought it would be a neat touch, however, it ended up being a little too tedious to draw :(

🎃 I asked all of my friends and family for their opinions on what color Jack’s skirts should be, to be able to settle on one. It took me a whole DAY to decide

🎃 Speaking of Jack’s skirts, I firmly believe in gender non-conforming Jack!! :3 (they’re still the big brother tho! <3)

🎃 Jack’s hat is an entire reference to the family! The pink patch refers to Aurora, the gold-ish one is Soleil, the light purple-pink is for Comet, the red is Solar, and the purple hat is referencing Nebula!!

Jack definitely had to learn how to play gently with Baby Aurora and then applied that knowledge to the rest of his little siblings

COUGHS VERY LOUDLY!!

So I spent like…almost three months straight of brainrot thinking about fankids for TechClaw and StarTools. I’m not even that big of a fan of TechClaw as I am for StarTools, BUT I am a SUCKER for character designing so I made some kid ideas anyways!! (And once again I show off my inability to draw young children...) I wish I could show off my art to the tsbs discord but I get very intimidated by big servers o~o

All designs are subject to change until I make an official colored ref sheet for them! Nonetheless, I explain each kid in the two ships below the cut! (Facts are subject to change as well unless stated as canon)

Keep in mind that no, Eclipse and Roxanne does not make FIVE kids in the span of years within their one lifetime. Each kid are potential routes they could go down.

Orion: A solar model | Wears ouji style clothing | He/Him | Friendly, excitable, theatre/drama kid, enjoys singing musical songs, dance, is a nerd, anger issues, very gossipy, stubborn in ideals, mama’s boy, knows an ungodly amount of hairstyles and practices it on Charlie, is LOUD, wants every night to be karaoke night

Fenrir: A wolf model | Wears very emo & grunge clothing | She/Her | Enjoys baking, playing with her brothers, sports, trampoline parks, being active in general, finds science boring, has the habit of lying, competitive, can be extremely childish (beyond what is typical of a child) when not given what she wants, would try to get lost in the woods on purpose but fails every time, absolutely loves hiking

Pippy & Poppet: Twin puppet/marionette models | Wears jester like clothing with Pippy being darker/goth and Poppet being lighter/preppy | She/Her (both) | Pippy - Awkward, introvert, admires her father and Andrew, would literally rather disappear from social situations, covert romance pop music lover, loves parkour, fear of bugs, knows ignoring people is rude just doesn’t care | Poppet - Excitable, extrovert, admires her mother and Charlie, would drag Pippy around outside since neither are allowed to be by themselves, overt heavy metal music lover, loves gymnastics, does not know when to stop talking, impulsive and rash

Celeste: A lunar model | Wears preppy/scholar clothing | She/They | Presents as and looks like a very soft and quiet girl, is NOT a soft girl, takes after her parents’ worst attributes, sassy, is nice to her family, cannot tolerate anyone outside of family, likes to read and study, finds science and engineering to be interesting, naturally smart, likes sweets, star gazes with her father, loves cats

Aurora: A child made the astral way (if there ever is one in canon) or a cosmic animatronic model | Wears feminine clothing based on space | She/Her | Soft-spoken, laidback, low energy, can be unintentionally tactless at times, is actually a MASSIVE clean freak (i wonder from who…/s), really does prefer to laze around however, loves lollipops way too much, loves Halloween, wants a pet fish, plans to learn how to drive a car bc someone else needs to…, HATES zucchini

Soleil: A solar model | Wears cutesy and soft clothing | They/Them | Genuine care and love for family and friends, spoiled like hell, manipulative in the way that kids are, greatly enjoys soft and comfy fabrics whether clothes or blankets or others, loves plushies of their favorite things (has a collection of the Celestial family members), loves playing/hanging out with Jack and Dazzle, bossy, was insanely jealous when Comet was born/made because that meant they weren’t the baby of the family anymore, is now VERY overprotective of her, adores seals

Comet: A lunar model | Wears soft/shy girl-esque clothing | They/She | Extreme shyness (not introverted), would rather hang out with the quieter/calmer members of the family (ex. Molten or Moon), meek, embarrassed of Soliel’s overprotectiveness, does find some comfort in it though, silent anger issues, very clingy to Jack for protection, constantly wants affection, loves all fruits but especially in jam form

Surname Silliness

(this is about TechClaw with a slight mention of StarTools!!)

Usually I don’t make text posts HOWEVER the funniest thought has occurred to me!!

As we know, majority of the cast are just a name with no surname. BUT we (the fans) just create one for fun or use something said in canon to give our favorite characters a surname (ex: the Celestial family -> Sun Celestial, Moon Celestial, Solar Celestial, etc)

So, obviously I take this info and run with it to give my own fanchildren surnames just for the fun of it! Which with the StarTools fanchildren, they use Celestial as a surname. But then I got to thinking…

What surname would the TECHCLAW fanchildren and canon children have?

Thus, I present my silly idea which I WILL make canon to my au:

The Wolf Family

Yes. That’s RIGHT. I’m taking the “Wolf” in Roxanne Wolf as a surname for the family. Hear me OUT, in how funny it would be for ECLIPSE of all people to be referred to as, “Mister Wolf”. And the CHILDREN too.

I’m clearly a genius in my own right!! 🤓 /silly /lh
