I'm working on a new character design and I'm slightly anguished because- for the recent new designs I've been doing, I've been using a trick I learned called laying down a "clown pass" where you use bright, ugly colors to fill in the chunks of design you want to be separate (in my case I'm sectioning off colors,) and with this current one i'm doing, I mostly used shades of purple and it actually looks cute?? But the main purple is eyeburner and I can't actually use that shade augh-
