Fun fact; I initially really wanted to draw Aran holding/guarding the Relic Staff when I did the original picture, but unfortunately, we had no confirmation as to what actually happened to the damn thing after the end of Book 3. Finding out it had spent 2 years in the Storm Spire collecting dust was just…the best day lmao, and I was very excited to add it in when I decided to redraw the picture. ❤️

Somnus, The Dragon Prince, Startouch Elf OC

The Startouched Elves are the most mysterious of Elfkind, even among other elves, and Somnus is perhap the most mysterious still. Few know how he managed to replace and mend his flesh with metal or why he does so, and neither does anyone know why he offers aid to those rare few that find him, save for speculation that his both perspective and goels tanscend those of mortals.

*Lives beyond a strange device called, The Lonely Gate, a isolated archway in the middle of nowhere that no one can pass save if he opens a magic portal.

*Beyond, is a strange observatory made of metal, that somehow exists between the world of Xadia and the stars, where he develops many wonderous machines and looks out across the void with an apparatus he sits in that projects his consciousness out into the unkown.

*Has so far replaced his left arm, his eyes, (which require him to wear a mask to prevent dust and dirt from interfering with the delicate components) as well as both legs and his spine.
