Short Treks: “April Fools Death”
Set to help justify why Rios chose to fly La Sirena completely alone instead of with a friend or two, this story would show Rios becoming increasingly frustrated as his friends on board pulled very obnoxious April Fools Day Jokes until he couldn’t help himself but... “get rid” of them.
This Short Trek was cancelled as the final backstory of Rios needing to be alone, as established in “Broken Pieces” was considered a much more satisfying explanation for Rios’ self-imposed solitude. That, and a certain global pandemic was making it really difficult to shoot programmes in live action.
