She was sitting on her favorite perch, high above the hustle and bustle beneath. It was, in many respects, the perfect spot. Quiet, as much as was possible in a spaceport. Open, whereas everything beneath was cramped. Elevated, which made it perfect for watching for interesting things beneath. And best of all, empty. No one ever looked up, for some reason. It meant that no one could bother the little urchin, when she decided to take a break. Her legs swung back and forth over the void, as she scanned the crowds below.
Green flecked eyes focused in on something - someone - unusual moving beneath. Lots of different kinds of people traveled through here, and few surprised her anymore. But this one looked like no one she’d seen before.
Curiosity aroused, she slipped down the maintenance shaft and back into the hubbub of the port itself. It took only a moment for her to spot the figure again, and slip her way through the throng, trailing not far behind. Hopefully, she’d find out something interesting about what this guy was, before he spotted her. If not? Well, she’d just ask them herself.
