yeah i totally understand. I don’t think i would be able to handle it so well if my boyfriend made the same decision

Thank you for understanding, I'm a bit of a mess now but it might get better with time. But one thing is 100% sure and it's that I'm never going to get completely comfortable with it.

i don’t think his job is to kill people unless finland is in immediate danger and has to defend, which i dont think will happen in a long while :/

Yeah, an armed conflict is not a realistic danger at the moment or probably ever during his time. However, what pains me the most is the political choice he makes with it - instead of doing harmless civilian service he voluntarily goes to a place where he might be forced to kill an actual person. It's just so against my own values that I'm just a big ball of asdsdfdgshkj now.
