i would though yeah. I think everybody has some form of an imaginary living "body", even if it's only the one they think of in their head. the way YOU perceive the way that OTHERS perceive you .. that fake self you think you look like in other people. so, like, the "you" that you feel shame about.

in the context of the song and dance of the black rose arc, mikage is only an outside perception of someone's perceived outside perception who used to exist, so it makes sense that it's about him. my darling mikage tamagotchi.

Dunno if manga is really your thing, but what’s ur all time favourite? And why?

A Cruel God Reigns is one of my favorites OAT. i never posted all of the jeremy sketches i had on backlog when i read it but it was very good and kind of took over my mind for a while. very freudian i think. and the art is really good. i’ve been wanting to read more of her stuff but i haven’t had the time really. outside of that i also really like the oniisama e manga but it’s not objectively my favorite, i just love how campy it is.

not a manga but my favorite anime OAT is wonder egg priority. and RGU obviously but i will always have an extremely special place in my heart for wonder egg

Whats ur favourite Ikeda manga??

claudine or oniisama e.... ikeda's identity-based works are really really good. both oniisama e and rose of versailles have really really good political dynamic exploration too, i think ikeda's background in communist circles really shows there.... i wish claudine was longer claude is probably one of my favorite characters of all time. but i think the brevity kind of adds to how peculiar "her" case is in the framing device and i find it fun to speculate. oh, claude... what fun adventures you would have had at seiran acadmey

How did you come up with touga & mikage i need to know

the “development process” for toukage is actually kind of interesting. i brought up the idea on call with my good online friend baguetteperson i think while we were watching adolescence of utena? and during the like discussion we had after. i actually found the first documented dm exchange we had about it which i will share for giggles

essentially the idea was always well. like. alternate yaoi for both of them that appeals to us both. touga is not my favorite RGU character but he does fascinate me . i think his coping mechanisms are wild and accurate for his position. i don’t want to speak on baguettes behalf but they REALLY like souji. so it seemed like a natural choice. yeah but toukage is not my independent brain child in any kind of way… more so like a collective effort between me and one of my best oomfs. that’s what makes it so beautiful . i’m so happy people seem to like it lol, i was mostly posting here for archival purposes but there are a select few intrigued and that is pretty awesome ^_^
