hands down favorite trope in kylux fanfiction is when hux has been demoted, pryde is ranked above him, snoke is dead, and he finally breaks

he admits that he’s been beaten, and while he won’t give up he’s far more downtrodden now than before

and kylo *hates* that he doesn’t like the new hux

he should be celebrating that his biggest enemy is in a pit of despair, but instead he’s a sad loser who wants hux to just be mean to him again and take back control of the first order

he made his way to the top and found it was fucking lonely

also only HE can be mean to hux, no one else can, they don’t do it right
