The borders between Kentucky/Virginia and Tennessee/North Carolina have bugged me for too long. They look like they should line up on the diagonal, so I am calling on Congress to officially redraw the borders to reflect the more aesthetically pleasing alternative. Apologies to the citizens of East Tennessee and the Cumberland Gap, but this is 250 years overdue.

We'll probably crinkle that up so it looks more natural, but remember that this is just an early draft; we'll finalize the border once it gets out of the House Appropriations Committee.
Tennessee will, of course, have to concede the Great Smoky Mountains to North Carolina, but they can more than make up for it with the creation of a new state park at Four Corners East, to be located at 36.5936N, 82.8628W, about 9 miles north of Surgoinsville, North Carolina (formerly Surgoinsville, Tennessee). Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah don't get to hog the quadripoint spotlight anymore.
If you have any thoughts and/or suggestions, please call your representative's office in Washington, DC.
Should Connecticut state borders be moved so New York City and Long Island are part of Connecticut?
Yes
No
What the hell are you talking about?
What’s Connecticut?
(context: I thought it would be a funny speech topic for my public speaking class because I’ve always thought the state borders around there are stupid looking)
Fun Fact #59
Oklahoma’s eastern border was supposed to be a straight line, but Congress fucked up and it was moved because nobody consulted maps in the 1800s and the border was disputed mostly by the Choctaw Nation and the state of Arkansas
