Guys the other day I asked about why Devdas doesnt just run away with Paro and the discussion was pretty good y'all are so epic just laskjf
cuz he was an irrational self-centered asshole thats why
that's what i thought as well but wouldn't his selfishness actually cause him to want to have paro for himself because by the end of the movie he crawls back to her out of his own desire
RIGHT! He could of just taken his share of the money and run with Paro, but then again its best we don’t put logic...
but with the story right it's actually from a quite well acclaimed book and literature which makes me wonder, i guess you gotta read it to know so maybe when i'll have time i'll try to see if it adds more perspective
Bc devdas embodies the kind of masculinity that can’t do anything. Watching Dev D clarifies the critique of this masculinity. :)
wow that actually makes quite a lot of sense thank you :)
That was the whole point of the movie. When he ran away from home, he was angry and his brain wasn’t working. If only it had been.
but he was there during paro's wedding right and sort of fell into the dumps after that but yeah i think what hangama-ho-gaya makes quite a lot of sense as to why he couldn't act on his impulses
