Chris smiled, cupping Tomas' cheek as his eyes filled with pride at the fact that he had such an amazing person in his life. "My hero..." Tomas was a lot better than the boy himself realized. But Chris knew.

As the years came and went, the familiar tug of a summoning was far and in between. He couldn’t even recall the last time he’d been properly summoned. So, the fact there was a rather annoying tug as he settled himself down for a glass of wine made him almost drop the glass. The summons grew in intensity, as if electricity was coursing through him, and Aldwyn having to force down several choice curses as he cast a cursory glance at Millie before he vanished in inky black and sanguine smoke, only to reappear in front of whatever mortal was smart enough to complete a summons. » “Has no one ever taught you manners? I was enjoying a very good glass of wine, though I would have preferred the entire bottle,” the demon muttered, now taking a sip from the glass, “and you had to interrupt. There’s absolutely no ambience now.”

“Well, duh.” Chris teased, squeezing Tomas against him with a smile. He leaned into the slender male with a smile on his lips. He came as quickly as he could after he finished practice, and he was glad that he wasn’t too late to be there for his friend. He gave a nod, letting go of the other male to instead take his hand.
“Missed me, huh? That’s sweet. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.” He countered, pulling Tomas along with a big grin. “Might as well relax and get a snack while they decide you’re the best.”
"My shoe tore in p.e. today, and I fell while running and the coach yelled at me for falling," Tomas pouted, showing Scott his very much old shoes. Despite the father figures in his life offering to take him out to get new sports shoes, Tomas often said no because the pair he has is still good.
“Kannen’s been waiting for those shoes to give out. He’ll be so proud.” Scott teased, staring pridefully at his boy. “Let’s go get you some new shoes and you can tell me all about who it was that helped you up.”
The pup was getting used to making new friends out of the pack's circle. Particularly, with one of the school's sports stars. Chris was a sweet guy, who was more than willing to help him with school work when Tomas needed it. The pup wasn't exactly subtle in his growing adoration for him, from how he tried to 'play it cool' by leaning on the lockers but instead somehow slipping and nearly falling on his face.
Chris grabbed Tomas by the shirt, pushing against the lockers to stabilize him before he could fall any further. "Woah, Tommy, you okay? Am I so boring you're passing out on me now?" He teased, flashing a warm smile at the other male. He patted the other boy's chest once he was stable again and finished swapping out his books in his locker. "That Liam kid's staring us down again, by the way. What's with him?"
"We're uh.. on the same group for the class project," the pup said meekly, not really meeting Chris' eyes. He even placed his books gently on the table, ever cautious of his werewolf strength now that he's attending high school. This was Tomas' first class to be away from Liam, thus he's quite nervous and skittish. "I'm Tomas."
Chris looked up, a warm grin curling his lips. “I’m Chris.” He replied, offering his hand to the other male. “You always hang out with those lacrosse kids, right? I didn’t think you took any classes without them.”
"Don't tell my dads," the pup whines brokenly. He's sitting in a pile of what was his intact mattress and pillows, all torn up by his own claws. His blanket's torn to shreds, and there's the smell of piss coming from somewhere within the room. The wall by his bed is scratched up to hell, and judging from Tomas' wide and flared nose, the boy has had another fit. "I didn't mean to. It was a nightmare."
Scott nodded, looking around thoughtfully. He ran a hand through Tomas’ hair. “You find where that smell’s coming from and get rid of it, pup. I’ll take care of your bed. Then we’re going to take care of the wall and talk about what’s giving you nightmares.” Scott replied, pulling away from the other male to get a new mattress for his omega.
"My teef's gettin' sharper!" the werewolf pup said, mouth wide open as he pokes at his fangs in front of the big mirror. His homework is left forgotten on a pile in the middle of the library, the boy distracted by the various books on were creatures the baron had on his shelves. "I've been eating more red meat lately too. Kieran always makes sure there's enough in the freezer every week,"
“All non-humans go through a transitional period. One of the local wolves wrote a fairly interesting research paper on creatures becoming less human over time, it’s... somewhere up on our web portal. Not the public one.” There were two. One for tourists, and one for locals. The latter was part of a village-wide intranet, a collaborative project between the population as a whole to store key information and research for latter generations.
