There are some aspects that make me think about their relationship and this is one of them. But there are more:

Like you said, technological signals (like some radio frequencies or internet) can disrupt airplane signals or vice-versa. An interesting thread I read on Reddit (I think) says that, for example, the interference with aircraft signals can increase with the number of cellphones connected to 5G (I didn't study this topic profoundly so if I'm wrong, please correct me!). I imagine the same thing happened in their relationship. They started great (Vox had a smaller number of adepts back then) but with time he became more ambitious and more VISIBLE, thing that contributed to them falling apart. Their break-up was only rushed due to Vox stealing one of her prototypes.

Thunderstorms make me think of them because Vox has electricity related powers and Aether's power are mostly related to strong winds and air manipulation (also clouds are one of her main motifs). It also makes me think of human Vox x demon Aether because it's just weatherman x literal storm.

I have this headcanon that at the earliest stages of her relationship they went on chess dates both having different playing styles that indirectly speak of their personalities. I imagine Vox liking to play sophisticated openings and try to set up traps since the beginning of the game, ruthlessly sacrificing his own pieces for greater gain, while Aether plays way more defensively, trying to make only protected moves because every piece is important and has its specific role (that also makes me think she shows more humanity than him).

Their personality types (if you are familiar with MBTI) are INFJ for Aether and ENTJ for Vox (at least the last time I checked). The compatibility of these types (from what I read) is theoretically really high, being sometimes referred to as a "golden pair". The thing is they have very similar ways of thinking but completely different perspectives on the world so they can either be the best couple ever, or a total disaster (in their case is the second one because they're both quite proud and very competitive :)) ).

American x Balcanic/Slavic because idk I like this type of relationship? (See aph rusame lmao). Might just be the difference in cultures that's quite fascinating.

Artistic x Scientific because Vox/Vincent's life and career seems to revolve around ENTERTAINMENT, while Aether/Andra was always fascinated by SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGIES.

#1: the screen

I’m the channel you flip past, you see nothing but blinding white, a little black, and some rainbow for some reason and all you hear is white noise. Have you ever stuck around on one of those static channels just out of curiosity? no, no one has, no one has heard my call. I can’t reach your ears, i am the static you hear that hurts your ear drums. I’m trapped, i do not know who i am so please don’t ask. There is a storm on that static screen, i don’t know whether i’m in the storm or i am the storm. Loneliness is what i feel in this fuzzed out world i feel as if we loose ourselves each passing day. I have one small question for you before i end this, am i still static?
