Relistening to STATION BLUE. It’s genuinely such a brilliant little show - I felt very lucky to have gotten to work with Ester on Less Is Morgue, and honestly, Station Blue is a work of art that’s only gotten better with age.

It lures you in with what you think will be your standard “pursued by monsters in the isolated icy wastes” tale a la The Thing or The Terror (which, don’t get me wrong, I also love) but it’s really a front for a far more personal, vulnerable, and upsetting tale of the horror of being human, and the knowledge that even if you go to the ends of the earth, you’ll never escape what you’ve done, and what’s been done to you.

Not for the faint of heart, but for people who love contemplative lo-fi slow-burn horror, it still is a must-listen.
