Thirty-something disabled white queer (they/ze/all)
Overly fond of orange, ochre, mauve, and letting my hypergraphia take the wheel. Art may be screaming. Proceed with caution.
A fickle reblogger of things I like, conversations in the tags, saving posts for later. I occasionally post my own art, though I often forget to tag it distinctively.
This blog is 18+. I don't age-check before interacting with audio fiction rec requests. If you're a minor, don't follow me, please.

About my art
I'm a rusty classic pianist and I'm teaching myself the ukulele (tenor). I started learning Reaper for music and audio design in January 2026 and I have worked on a bunch of different projects since:
Brambles is the concept album I created during FAWM 2026, processing the COVID-19 mass disabling event.
ECHOS is experimental audio fiction that started as a Fake Audio Drama Wednesday entry. Come join us in the sandbox :)
Wallpaper is a psychological horror audio drama, a modern-day adaptation of "The Yellow Wallpaper" by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. The pilot was created during the PBC Jam 2026 and works as a standalone story. @wallpaperpod
Grief, memory, and animism are central to my work and themes I seek out in audio fiction. I'm especially interested in stories that explore learning to live with something unnegotiable. The ruthlessness of loss and change. How to hold it and still move forward in some way.
Third and final edition of the Disability Pride Flag Audio Fiction Calendar. Click for the first, second, and related BINGO. Plus as an amazing bonus, @rainbownestmedia shared another calendar here. Next week: my notes in one neat overview :)

Harlem Queen
Listened to Season 3 and 4 this week. Season 4 is told in a slightly different format and it's such a fun switch up. I'm heading into the final season and I'm genuinely sad to see this interbellum era story close, I've grown fond of The Numbers Queen and the show's fast-pace quick switch storytelling.
Seen and Not Heard
Yearned for a "life with disability" narrative and knew where to find it. Knew this show was good but whoa it is GOOD. Comes with great "let's talk about Deafness/HoH" talk episodes. Enjoying it all a lot
Shelterwood
The Podcast Bookclub discord server is listening to this show (which has been on my to listens for a while). Sadly not a timezone that works for me, so I'm trying to listen along-ish in my own time. Just two episodes in, the "true crime" element is really well done (great framing) but that also means I'm aggravated more. So taking it easy. Curious to see how things develop in terms of monsters and grief themes.
Shadows at the Door
Now that I'm about to be a patron (Beck's End wrapped up a successful kickstarter yahooo) I figured I should listen to at least some of SatD (I've heard so many great things but anthologies are hard for me to stick to). Two episodes in. I think it's going to be a great podcast to have on while I'm sewing or doing embroidery… and I learned from the discord there's an aroace spec recurring character
Our Wars Have Ended
Listened to episode one, part one and part two. Had a decent idea of where it would go because of the call to audition last year. I watched two seasons of Sharpe with my partner and bestie and that made me appreciate this Napoleonic level of warfare technology more, I think. Curious to see where it will go. Shaking off the mental comparison to the Silt Verses, which I'm sure will get easier as the story progresses.
The Sterling Girl
Knew this horror/fairytale story was going to focus on the autistic experience and oof, my heart. Made me ache and laugh and cry. Highlight of the week, I think.

one of the most frustrating things about being disabled and chronically ill is that everyone around you is allowed to be worried or scared for you. but the second you yourself say you’re worried or scared, suddenly it’s “you can’t be so negative, think positively, you might be totally fine in five years”
but i have to placate everyone when they’re telling me multiple times a day that they’re scared for my health??
“Inclusive community arts festival!” “Everybody welcome!” “Events for all!”
No access info for any of the venues
Box office is inaccessible
Google “[festival name] accessibility”; get info on their “accessible pricing” (pay £1 less if you want to). No mention of free tickets for essential carers
Do a lot of disability detective work; most venues don’t have wheelchair access
One claims to be accessible, look inside: “we’re an accessible venue. There are three steps to get in, but we can help you with those”.
WOE.BEGONE is a queer story in more ways than just the fact that it's written by a queer man with queer voice actors who play queer characters.
But something about meeting the love of your life only for him to die young, the sacrifices the older iterations have to make for life to be a little easier for the younger ones, learning to discover your identities in new ways that the people in your life consider strange/unusual/silly (like Michael turning into a cowboy, first starting out a bit awkward but now having a completely different voice and dress style and a name that is *his*), found family both healing and toxic at times, falling in love with the "wrong people", survival is a never ending fight because people want you dead because you're YOU and there is nothing you can do to stop being you enough to satisfy them.
⛪️ I started Forgive Me (1.01-2.02) and it’s exactly as fun and silly as I thought it would be! I’m not catholic myself, but I’m really glad that the show explored the intersection (sometimes collision) of faith and sexuality in an early episode. It’s hard to have a favourite parishioner - ah, who am I kidding, it’s Clara! 🔔
🌵 @desertskiespodcast (24-25) Evil Jennifer Coolidge can back away from my beloved Mac!! It just goes to show how easy it is to plant seeds of doubt in someone’s mind despite the strength of their friendships!
📖 @storiesfromylelmore (202) ohhh, baby Rion ☹️ this episode made me so sad!! I was a Responsible Kid at school and I really related to his frustration and feelings of shame about the unreasonable requests being too much. I hate Ms [Beep] and her microaggressions!!! Horrific! But very grateful for a Principal who has tried to improve their understanding of Rion’s situation so he can be best supported.
Man, I must have been really well behaved this month, because I’ve finally made it to @twelvelms week! 🦭I can’t wait to listen to the next episode, I’m sure it’s going to be a biggie!
