Marc Marquez is the first poleman of the season to win both the sprint and the Sunday race on the weekend of his pole.
He's so far the only rider who has won the sprint from pole position (did so in both Jerez and Balaton Park) and the second rider to win the Sunday race from pole position (Marco Bezzecchi did so in Buriram and Mugello).

In the collective mind, 2025 has to be the year of the comeback of Marc Marquez to the top. The year of the 9th. The year with the 3 first time winners. The year with the beginning of an Aprilia comeback. It was also much more than that and we'll delve into all of it here.

With Alex Marquez out in Mugello, we've lost the last rider who had directly qualified to Q2 in all existing rounds of 2026.
Fabio Di Giannantonio, Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi all have been to Q2 from Buriram to Mugello but they've all needed one trip through Q1 to achieve that.
Marc Marquez also has a 100% Q2 participation but he went through Q1 in Le Mans and didn't ride in Barcelona.
Pedro Acosta could maintain his 100% Q2 participation if he survives Q1 tomorrow (already had to survive Q1 in Jerez).
The rest of the grid has all stayed in Q1 at least once.
