hey tah what are your Favorite Pieces of Good Werewolf Literature? esp fluff. thank you.
ps i loved Faoladh thank you
aaaaa i’m glad you liked it!!
i haven’t read tons of werewolf fluff to be honest (bc i’m mostly interested in queer fluff and there’s even less of that lmao) but Fur and Feathers on fictionpress is good from what i recall!! and while we’re on the topic of fictionpress werewolf lit, i have a work-in-progress fantasy femslash romance called Garou :VVV
also, my buddy @tabbykattene had a fluffy gay werewolf in Werewolves Versus Romance too titled “Werewolf Seeking Werewolf” so you may wanna check that out as well!!
i also enjoyed the lesbian werewolf book Lunatic Fringe but be prepared: it goes heavy on the feminist themes in a weird sort of way and some of the sex scenes are a lil hard to believe if you know what i mean lmao. haven’t read the second book (though i do own it) so i can’t speak on that one but
the Memoirs of an Eighteenth-Century Werewolf series (what i’ve read of it) is fun and has an interesting take on female werewolves but it’s pretty gory and sexualized in places so if that’s not your style then maybe not (but the main character is a lesbian werewolf and is looking for her soulmate so if you like soulmates............)
that’s pretty much all i got for fluff!! but if you like just regular (non-lesbian, non-fluff) werewolves, here’s my top 5
the Wereworld series by Curtis Jobling, which i could wax poetic about for ages, it’s got fucking weresharks man it’s incredible
City Under the Moon by Hugh Sterbakov which is a super high-paced action novel about a werewolf epidemic in the heart of New York
The Tattooed Wolf by K. Bannerman, a modern retelling of a medieval werewolf romance, a light but entertaining read (but kinda hard to follow at times i’ll be honest)
The Werewolf’s Guide to Life: A Manual for the Newly-Bitten by Ritch Duncan, which is exactly what it sounds like except a lot funnier and wittier
Cycle of the Werewolf by Stephen King, because it is A Classic and the illustrations by Bernie Wrightson are to die for (it’s the source material for Silver Bullet, if you’ve watched that film, and has its roots in a calendar of all things)
happy reading!!!
