Blackened Hawthorn Stave

This is another example of the sort of woodworking services I offer.

This stave was created using a branch of spiny Hawthorn wood that was reclaimed from a felling, which was shaped and smoothed. It was then blackened with a stain made of Hearth Soot harvested from the interior of our Wood Stove, which I used to coat the stave, in countless layers. I followed that up by using a ritually enlivened oil of empowerment to polish away the excess stain and then sealed the whole piece with a personally developed wood varnish made from an array of precious and potent arboreal resins, such as Dragon's Blood, Storax, and Frankincnse.
