Lily hurried down the hallways, the hood of her jacket pulled deeply onto her face to hide the purplish coloring of the skin around her eye and lip. She'd just gone to the store to buy some more heavy cover up since her normal makeup wasn't doing the job so now she couldn't wait to put it on. She had to hide the bruises, no one could see them, how was she supposed to explain them. The ring on her finger itched. She had considered taking it off a lot of times, but somehow it didn't feel right. Sure she hated Johnathan and she hated this engagement, but she as supposed to be happy. A lot of girls would have loved this, so she would try to for once be normal and happy about that stupid ring.
I love holiday meals.
