slides over a basket of grapes; each one individually wrapped to look like chocolate eggs. " I didn't know what specific sweets you liked, so I got you some chocolate eggs! "

“I like any sweets as long as they’re from you~” he smiles as he pulls the basket over to himself, happily unwrapping one and putting it in his mouth.

It is then that the realisation hits.

“… I’m breaking up with you”

"Arthur~!" She chirps, still looking happy like any other normal day. Happily waltzing over to his desk, she places a decently sized white box with a red ribbon atop in front of him. Inside is a cake— red velvet to be exact— with golden sprinkles and tiny pieces of chocolate scattered around here and there. A luxurious box for a luxurious cake! "I thought I'd get you a lil' something since, well, you know... I'd be a bad girlfriend if I didn't- But I digress. Happy birthday darling!"

Arthur can’t help but smile as Star enters the room with the box. Honestly, just seeing her on his birthday made him feel happy, but the added bonus of a gift was the cherry on top. He opens the box to see the cake inside. It’s clear to him how much care and effort was put into the gift.

“Thank you, dear. This is lovely. You’ll help me eat this cake though, I’m sure, right~?”

He flashes her a grin before leaning over his desk to give her a thank you kiss.
