ok so i obviously i need something to fill my time until season two of helix comes out WHICH MEANS you should give me show recommendations since you obviously have good taste
oh goodness friend there are so many I watch - if you want a comprehensive list my About page has pretty much all of them and I love each and every one for various reasons.also I'm kinda assuming you're okay with slightly sketchy means of watching these since many aren't on Netflix or anything. couchtuner.me is a wonderful place that has all of them easily available.
If you're looking for stuff similar to Helix -- Syfy also does a zombie show called Z Nation which is absolutely hysterical (and not all that similar to Helix at all really, but same channel so y'know) and they're just wrapping up their first season this Friday.TNT has one, The Last Ship, which VERY much reminded me of Helix for the first episode or two. Deadly virus wiped out most of the population, the story follows a US battleship that was out at sea when it happened and the scientist on-board who's trying to find the cure. Very good, very exciting, left off on a cliffhanger but we're getting season 2 in the summer.
Sleepy Hollow is fantastic - a weird mix of Biblical prophecy, American history, and a ton of different mythologies all mixed together. And a guy from the Revolutionary War trying to figure out the 21st century and getting indignant over things like bottled water and pens chained to desks.
All of the current DC comic shows are great - Arrow, The Flash, Constantine, and Gotham. Arrow is on its third season, the rest are still on their first. (though the main character in The Flash is introduced in the second season of Arrow; it's not necessary to watch Arrow to get Flash, but if you plan on seeing both you really should start with Arrow since their timelines merge) (also Arrow's first two seasons ARE on Netflix)
If you're into crime shows, one of my favorites is Perception. Paranoid schizophrenic helping the FBI with cases that deal with various neurological illnesses, and they handle all of them SUPER well. It's funny and clever and just a really great show.
I WATCH A LOT OF SHOWSLet me know if you want any more rambling summaries - or if any of these peak your interest because I would be glad to rant about them when you see them :3
