Childhood. Few know of or remember Kalye Sesame, later just Sesame, which was the precursor of Batibot. Even fewer of the fact that Pong Pagong and Kiko Matsing ain’t owned by us as they were made by the workers of the original Sesame Street based on the local creators’ needs and input. The lack of ownership is why they didn’t last long on Batibot, and disappeared soon enough. No more “sesame” in the name, no more Pong and Kiko. Diptych by #DingRoyales at the really good exhibit #SteampunkIndio at the #NCCAgallery. Sometimes it pays to go all the way to Manila! #ArtPH #visualartsPH
