Ah, what a lovely day. At least it would be, if she could actually go outside. Marie loved being a Gym Leader, of course. But being stuck inside the same building for long hours of the day can get a little repetitive. She just finished a gym battle with another aspiring trainer and her team was pretty wiped. It hurt Marie a little inside to see her team so exhausted.
That’s it, she’s just going to sneak out. Just once couldn’t hurt, right? She packed a few snacks, grabbed her Pokemon, and was on her way. Walking along Route 15 was a personal favorite of hers. It always seemed to be covered in bright orange leaves and strange trees.
Finding an enclosed flower bed, Marie let out her Pokemon. A picnic should be a nice enough idea to calm them down. Sure, there have been some interesting people known to roam around this area

The brush rustled and the sound of leaves being crushed had everyone on edge. Altaria flew ahead to inspect the danger. Marie followed closely behind, keeping an eye on both her team and the area ahead. She tried to look confident, but it was hard to hide the fear in her eyes.
“Hello? Is someone there? You better come out!”
