Robb waited until their mother’s back was turned then grabbed two slices of lemon cake from the tray of leftovers. He was seventeen now, a man grown, and still, he knew their mother’s rules were law: one slice per child, and they had both already had their fill. Nodding for her to follow him outside, Robb slipped into the yard and waited for Sansa, sitting on the back porch with the stolen treats.
He had not seen his sister in months. Now that they did not attend school together any longer, she spent most of the year at Hogwarts and he with the Order. As times grew darker and the fight to avenge his father became messier by the day, Robb hardly even had the time to return home during the holidays.
