I've just finished this painting that I started last month, it's a view looking down towards 'Steephill Cove' a favourite spot of mine in Ventnor, Isle of Wight. This painting was inspired by a photo I took one late afternoon around the beginning of February a couple of years ago, we'd been out walking our dog and as I walked back up the hill I turned around and saw the sun's rays poking through the clouds, I've been meaning to paint this scene ever since. I've used watercolour paint and then added some pastel over the top in a few areas.
