the painting is inspired by the exloration of the earth like planet kepler 425b and how the governments uses military technology to control data i use a photo transfer and combine that images with painting, oil and all kinds of wax crayons, pencils, pastels. the painting is framed with an expensive 3,5 cm wooden frame, the plywood is mounted with a floating shadow fuge (1 cm space to the frame).

the starting point were a couple of streetwearfashion shots i digitally printed onto the canvas, tej original photos were shot upright. i started painting in an upright format but at one point i turned the canvas and recognized that the figure became static and "floating" with an intersting tension. i read alot about the current state and chemical pollution concerning the honey bees and at one point the idea of a verpuppung came to mind which is a process, a transformation, something beautifully. i liked that and the idea to paint a cocoon. i created it as a ongoing series, we have queens, drones, and workers...

My works are extremely layered, as i drip paint, scrawl words on the canvas, and mixe mediums including oil and pastels, crayon, pencil, marker, and digital photographs which i transfer to the wood with an analogue technique. i use oils, all kind of pencils, colored pencils, pastels, oil pastels. My gestural abstracts are an exploration of histories, both personal and shared, and are inspired by pop culture, political issues, and postmodern alienation. Every one of my wood paintings is expensively wooden framed, with a floating shadow fugue and a professional suspension. the painting deals with the conflict between digital imagery, manipulated data, fake news, conspiracy theories. what is the truth? what can we believe? Despite all those conflicts i try to bring across what the world is to me: a beautiful place. one love.

an old "lunar landing" image from a trashy 50s comic caught my eye and i thought about painting a pink moon and combine those images, to get an planet like surface i added some abstract cutouts from newspapers... i work with an analogue photo transfer technique which mirrows the image, so the typo is not lunar landing but gnidnal ranul. on this backdrop i work with all kinds of paints, pencils and pastels. the painting (45 x 45 cm) is framed with an expensive and professional wooden frame, the size with frame is 50 x 50 cm.

the river, Stefan Heyer

i was inspired by a lyric of an old joni mitchell track: "i wish i had a river / to skate away on", i wanted to create an utopian landscape with a slightly otherworldly twist, combing gestural brushstrokes with modern midcentury style architecture. i work multilayered and use an analogue photo transfer as a starting point for the painting. nowadays i work only on wood, my photo transfer works perfectly on that material and my sometimes punchy style with all kinds of pens, pencils and pastels needs a hard underground.
