Stendardo's 300 profesional appearance

      Guglielmo Stendardo made his 300th appearance of his profesional career on Sunday. The 31 year old defender was chosen to partner Thomas Manfredini for Atalanta's trip to Pescara ahead of Stefano Lucchini.

Willy made his profesional debut for his home town club Napoli way back on the 16th of May 1998 in a 2-2 with Bari. Since then the experienced defender has played for Sampdoria, Salerno, Catania, Perugia, Lazio, Juventus and Lecce before moving to Bergamo to join Atalanta.

So far he has completed a total of 23,527 minutes spread over132 games in series A, 127 in Serie B, 30 in the Italian Cup and the European Cup and 7 in four other tournaments.

So far there is no sign of him hanging up his boots to call it a day and long may that continue.
