Here are all of my vintage Steffi-face mold dolls. Warning: unpopular opinion ahead: I don’t actually love the Steffi face mold. I think on modern dolls it looks a little weird. But that’s just me! I do think it works well on these dolls and I think they are all really pretty.
Top row, L-R: Dolls of the World Spain. I got her at a flea market, with her original dress and earrings, but missing everything else. This doll has a very nice caramel skin tone and a TON of hair. Seriously, a TON.
Next is Free Moving PJ, as thrift shop rescue. Her body is in 2 parts, wherein the top part can rotate on the bottom part to give the doll a lot more movement than just a twist-n-turn waist. Due to age and etc., the body doesn’t always want to stay together anymore, so one can dress her in 1-piece outfits that will keep it together, or rebody her - I have her on Marie Osmond’s body at the moment.
Lastly is a Malibu PJ, another thrift rescue. I always liked this doll but I never had her as a kid for some reason.
Seated row, L-R: Another rescued Malibu PJ, this one with her attached sunglasses still intact.
Center is a Hawaii Barbie thrift rescue - I am a sucker for a brown-eyed doll, mainly because so few have brown eyes, and I have brown eyes, so it’s nice to see them in doll form.
Lastly we have a Quick Curl Cara I found in a thrift and immediately snatched up. As you can see, her hair is not the greatest, so any restoration tips would be welcomed.
