miles!! god i could talk all day about your kirigiri. i absolutely adore all of your headcanons (even some of the more humorous ones they're still?? so good?? so iconic??) and your writing so much!! kiri is one of my favorite characters and i'd just like to say that i'm glad she's getting the quality attention that she deserves like seriously you're doing a wonderful job with her and i hope you know that!!

the pianist smiles as she continues to play with her lover's hair, softly pulling strands into loose braids. " i'm surprised you're letting me do this. " she whispers to her softly before planting a quick kiss on her cheek. " i love you. "

strangely  comforting  are  the  repetitive  motions  as  she  lays  face  -  down  on  the  bed  ,   gentle  fingers  threading  through  chocolate  tresses  ,   and  though  relaxation  is  something  scarcely  felt  by  someone  so  far  -  removed  she  allows  herself  the  reprieve  ,   just  this  once  .   with  kaede  ,   she  is  safe  .   calm  .   despite  her  preference  for  her  own  company  ,   maki  oft  finds  herself  relaxing  in  the  pianist’s  presence  ,   assured  in  the  knowledge  she  need  not  put  up  any  front  ,   hide  herself  from  prying  eyes  and  narrow  minds    (    from  judgemental  stares  ,   sharp  tongues  and  sharper  tones  ,   hatred  thinly  veiled  .    )

gentle  murmurs  draw  her  from  deep  within  her  own  mind  ,   head  lifts  from  the  pillow  her  arms  have  created  and  turns  ever  so  slightly  -   she  has  no  desire  to  disturb  her  partner’s  work  ,   motion  slow  ,   carefully  controlled  .   with  little  desire  to  utter  a  verbal  response  ,   a  quiet  hum  takes  its  place  ,   curiosity  resting  idly  in  crimson  eyes    (    is  it  so  surprising  ?    )    as  she  watches  .   gaze  follows  kaede  as  she  moves  forward  ,   eyelids  fluttering  for  the  briefest  moment  as  a  light  pressure  falls  on  her  cheek  ,   a  gesture  that  draws  the  corners  of  her  lips  upwards  ,   the  makings  of  a  small  smile  .

“Ah, Akamatsu-san. Good day to you. Did you come to grab something to eat?” Kirumi was running maintenance on the kitchen, making sure everything worked and was cleaned to a mirror sheen. Seeing the other, she could only assume she was here for something. Putting down the bowl she was cleaning, she readied herself for any request the blonde might have.

Shirogane, Chabashira, and now Yumeno. Three people were dead already. And there was a blackened among them. If only there was some way for them to end this. He practically skipped over to Kaede’s side as she was doing her investigations with Saihara’s help, a smile on his face that hid his true feelings about this whole thing, his feelings of disgust at whoever had killed... He hid them pretty well. 

{❧} ---- “Akamatsu-chan! Did you find anything that might help us find Yumeno-chan’s killer? There has to be something right?”

Kokichi had been doing this for awhile now since the body had been discovered. Just wandering about, doing seemingly nothing to help the investigations, and then showing up to just be annoying beyond belief.

Really, it was nothing new.

If only they knew that he had actually found something interesting. However he would keep that to himself until the trial.
