Adam chuckled lightly. “I wonder which of them would make the winning bet, or if they’d both be wrong.” He said with a smile before smirking at her wish to have seen him fancied up. “Well I do cut a good figure in a suit and I’ve been told I clean up very nicely. Maybe if you’re lucky you’ll get to see me dressed up some time.” He said with a wink. 

He stoked the fire a bit more, making sure they didn’t lose the warmth. “As for being married off, I’ve had a few close calls. Was technically engaged for a time, but me and her were really just friends and using it as a ploy to fend off suitors for her for a time.” He smiled at the memories and wondered what she was up to now adays, if she had survived the blight or not, he never did find out. But he was pretty sure someone like her wouldn’t have die to just any apocalypses. “Aside from that I was almost wedded off a couple of times, but really the danger of sleeping around in Noble circles was the potential suitors who were pissed off I ‘deflowered’ their loves. That said I did end up in more than one threesome with the suitor and suitress that way.” He snickered, very clearly showing just how much trouble he used to get up to even back in his noble days. One must wonder how he’s lasted this long without catching anything or dying in a duel of honor.

Avery laughed. "I want to say they both would be wrong, but I have a feeling Varric would end up winning. He doesn't usually bet on things he knows he wont win." She pointed out. She laughed and shook her head. "Good luck getting me into a dress." She said. "Never was one for the big fluffy dresses." She smiled. "Though I'm sure you look fabulous dressed up."

Adam peaked her curiosity when he mentioned he had been engaged. She moved to shuffle a little and laid her head on his lap as she listened to him, not seeing anything wrong with doing so. "What was your friend like?" She asked, looking back up at him. Avery laughed with him when it came to sleeping around. "I believe that is always a danger, even outside of noble circles." She pointed out before smiling. "I'm sure you had a grand old time with the other two."

@stellstells (Continuing from here):  Adam stoked the fire of their camp, he didn’t see sleep in his near future like the rest of their party seemed to have found so easily. “Trust me on this Avery, it’s better to have people you can trust further than to tell you when a pretty woman walks into the tavern.” He glanced towards the tents the others were sleeping in before continuing. “For instance this is the first time I’m more certain than not that if I pass out out here that they won’t just leave me here when they wake up, possibly robbing me in the process.”

Avery hummed before she let out a snort at his comment about a pretty woman walking into the tavern. Trust Adam to talk about pretty girls. “I wouldn’t count Isabella out on that one. She has sticky hands sometimes.” Avery said with a a grin before shaking her head. “I guess I’m more jealous over the fact if I’m ever thrown into somewhere alone, I wouldn’t truly know what to do.” She said. “Once the twins were born, I was the one who made sure they were taken care of if father or mother away. And to that point, we weren’t truly far away from each other, especially when Bethany’s magic started to manifest.”

Avery wrapped her arm in the cloth bandage and looked over at him. She wasn’t sure which cave they had just gone through, they are all looking the same. “Proof of surviving is living.” She said. “You don’t have to have visible scars to know you’ve lived.” She said. “This scar on my face isn’t the proof I lived, its the proof that I kicked ass.” She said with a grin.

The redhead shoots a look at the other brightly colored haired man. “Adam, you almost got stabbed two moments ago.” Avery said, putting her knives into the holder that sat on her back. “One of these days you are going to die, and I’ll have to find a blood mage to raise you back to life so I can scream at you.” She said. There was a joke in what she said but she was glad Fen wasn’t around for him to bitch about what she was saying.

Avery looked at him as she sat at the camp fire. The others were sleeping but she was the one that couldn't sleep that night. "I would like to say I relate on that, but considering I always had my family, and up to this point despite losing Carver, I'm not sure if I could make it on my own or not." She said honestly. "So kind of jealous that you have."

Adam chuckled at her comments and smiled at her nipping his lip. “Sounds like a fair trade. Well on my part I’ confess that on the nights after bigger battles I often fantasied about you leading armies from the front lines of battles. A look of inspiring beauty and strength making your soldiers rally and lay down their lives for you.” He smirked slightly at her and the thoughts. “You inspired quite a bit in me ya know, more than just bravery, more than a few fun but lonely nights as well~.” He said teasingly.

Avery smiled listening to him before laughing softly. "You would find me leading an army sexy." She said shaking her head. She moved to cup his cheek and hummed softly. "You weren't the only one having lonely nights with fun thoughts." She laughed softly, letting her hands fall from his cheek moving to grab his own. "Also, have you seen yourself in a fight?" She said. "Its amazing to watch you, I got distracted a bit, probably what clued in Varric now that I'm thinking about it." She thought outload, tilting her head a little.

There is this feeling of being sneaky and being like a teen that made Avery love moments like this with Adam. Sure they were near the others that were camped and sleeping. But at least they weren't making out in front of them, nor would the rest care if they took a moment to themselves. Maybe Anders if they woke him up somehow. But currently, Avery was living her best live, pulling Adam toward the trees near the camp. She turned to make sure no one was watching before she leaned against a tree and pulled him close to kiss him. She knew this spot was safe, it was one the camped at before. But it hadn't mattered to her. She was safe with him, and she knew they could kick someone's ass before moving back to kissing each other. They were very skilled that way.

A smile appeared on her features. It was soft, which was rare and reserved for times like this, when her and Adam were alone, speaking of the future, speaking of what to do in the quiet of her home. Her hand cups his face and pulls him closer, pressing her forehead against his, adjusting herself to be on his lap as they sat on her bed. There was a building fear that these times here, would be gone one day, as the city around them grew more and more angry. So she soaked it up and kept close. "Varric would hate how better you are with words." She said softly. "I'll be with you as well, Love. No matter what." She said.
