I like your interpretation of sebcedes as hyperbolic functions too! There is frankly something so romantic and devastating about asymptotes and tangents... always approaching something at infinitely smaller angles... intersecting at one point and never touching again! I won't lie I've been watching math videos on youtube lately so I'm definitely in the mood to think about this.

your trig posting is reminding me of the time i was studying with the Quietest Sweetest Rural Hometown Girl (like, won her local talent + beauty pageant, double majored in vocal performance and civil engineering and so would take like 9 classes a semester and still tutored for like three departments, volunteered at the i shit u not bunny shelter in her hometown etc etc. soprano voice AND looks of an angel) in college and i said something about only remembering soh-cah-toa by thinking about the Sounds and she was like “oh, i just remember the gay man’s trigonometry” and i was like ?????? (a totally normal reaction. in my opinion) to which she went “you know, suck on huge cocks and have tons of anal.” when i tell you my jaw was on the FLOOR

I LOVE HER!!!! I ASPIRE TO BE HER!!!! Truth be told the math I have to do is mostly statistics and doesn't require me to remember much of trig at all BUT this is the new way I'll be remembering the functions.
