In an alternate universe, Cassandra Cillian boards her flight for a family wedding, taking the empty seat next to Jacob Stone, who’s on his way home from a job. The flight is short, but the connection is instant - her falling for his southern charm and obvious intellect, and he knowing that she is a girl he can be himself with.  They exchange numbers, and before the day is done, Cassandra texts him asking him to be her date to the wedding. He accepts.

Just as the door on her plane home is about to close a few days later, Jacob takes the empty seat next to Cassandra, unable to let her go.
