The Scott Family

The Gnome’s Arms pub is still going strong after 15 years! Sara is still living her dream and while Simon still misses the city every now and then, he’s grown to love the country as well. Sammy, the oldest, is not a fan of his everyday life and wants to see the city, while Stephen prefers to stay indoors and play with computers. This blended family is not exactly typical - Sarah and Simon took in two of the Moody boys after their guardians passed away. Sarah never could have imagined that she would have ended up raising four young boys all on her own! Simon was kicked by a horse, falling asleep and never waking up. It was devastating for the family and they're all still trying to cope. Magnus has really stepped it up, trying to prove his worth and show that taking him and Nick in wasn't a mistake. He misses his other brother (also named Simon) but knows it was a strain enough on the Scott finances to take two boys in and he wants to make sure Sarah never regrets it.

Sara Scott, 30

Sweet Sarah was the beauty back in her home village, won over by Simon and coming to Henford-On-Bagley to help him run his greengrocer business. She's quite happy to be somewhere busier - there's always someone new to meet and talk with. Now that Simon is gone she's running the stall on her own and really finding her feet. It's almost like she has a natural affinity for it.

Samuel Scott, 7

The oldest twin by nearly twenty minutes Samuel came out squalling and never really stopped. Stephen always calls him a crybaby, which inevitably leads to a fight Magnus has to break up, but Samuel has kept the bullying from his mother as he doesn't want to stress her out. He's a very messy child, reluctant to brush his hair or wash. Sarah's really hoping he grows out of it.

Stephen Scott, 7

Stephen might be the younger twin but he's determined to be bigger and meaner than Samuel. He does get into scrapes - and not just at home - but the other children are afraid of him and don't tattle. Stephen is also known for being a bit of a bottomless pit, always hungry no matter what.

Magnus Moody, 12

Getting adopted by the Moodys really was such a high point in Magnus's life but very quickly his kindly elderly guardians passed away and left them all uncertain. He's very grateful to the Scott family for stepping up and does his best to be a good older brother to the twins and Nick, spending time playing and keeping them all busy so Sarah can focus on the shop.

Aspiration: Rambunctious Scamp Traits: Goofball

Nick Moody, 10

Nick loves nothing more than running through the fields by the family farm or playing football with the local boys. He's a bit standoffish when it comes to the Scott family, perhaps because he's afraid of getting attached to yet another family and losing them too.
