Gerhard Puchelt was born in 1913 in Stettin, germany . He studied in Berlin , where he became at first a well-known and highly estimated concert accompanist .In 1945, he gained a sensational success as soloist with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Since that time he has played with growing recognition all over the world. He was professor at the 'Berliner Hochschule für Musik'.
