yeah I was just going to mention that arc w her parents… like it was framed as if britta's estrangement from them was her being a spoiled rich girl (just britta being britta!) when given the backstory she feels rightfully betrayed by them and should never have to speak to her father ever again holy shit

#stephxwu #to introduce something like this in a SITCOM where your character obviously won't have space to process her trauma #and then bring her parents in and expect the audience to empathize w/ them #even though they have NO context for why she estranged herself from them in the first place #& not only force her to speak w/ them again but make her financially reliant on them when that's her worst nightmare #for completely legitimate reasons!#and this is all supposed to be FUNNY?#the layers of nastiness are mind boggling

i had no idea...........................this is so fucking EVIL and in hindsight it makes that S6 arc where abed and annie befriend her parents behind her back feel so much more insidious, especially since the show is so unsympathetic towards her and makes it seem like she’s overreacting for not wanting anything to do w/ them

LITERALLY this man’s rebuttal to lesbian annie being this lengthy reiteration of her canon arc...because annie can’t possibly deal with internalized homophobia AND the pressure to overachieve academically & professionally at the same time. that would be too much.

shows, especially: happily ever after, illuminations, disneyland’s fantasmic, the festival of fantasy & boo to you (the grave diggers 😭) and even though it’s falling apart i have a soft spot for the electrical parade but only when it’s at disneyland

food & drinks ): the mac n’ cheese bread bowl from pacific wharf, the alcoholic kakigori & grey goose citron lemonade slush from world showcase and the night blossom from pandora (it’s rum and limeade and apple and desert pear with passion fruit boba) 😣churros w/ chocolate sauce, beignets & pomme frites & four cheese monte cristos from new orleans square and all the epcot festival foods, ughhhhh

resort hopping @ wdw (especially around the boardwalk, grand floridian & polynesian and riviera) and riding the monorail/friendships/skyway to get from place to place. just the transportation in general...would love to ride the ferry back to the ttc and watch the electrical water pageant go by just one (1) time this year, please

this is weird and i guess comes from having lived there for a while but just, like...taking a book and sitting on one of the rocking chairs or on the curb on main street with something from the confectionery and hanging out waiting for fireworks or the nighttime parade to start...unbelievably peaceful

not sure if this counts as a thing, but disneyland has swing dancing in the royal theatre in fantasyland every saturday and they were usually getting started when i was on my way into work and there were so many old couples who told me they had been coming to disneyland to dance since they were in high school and it just makes me a little 😳🥺every time i think about it

just got to the point of my rewatch where they almost kicked him out of the group but then they realized they needed him play that part of consistently being irredeemably racist homophobic misogynistic etc because ??? it brought them together?????? �� d*n h*rmon meet me in the PIT

every time there’s a “pierce is out of the study group” plot it’s impossible to resolve realistically because everyone is, like...just...demonstrably so much better off without him
