hey, a quick research for tyrionXsansa brought me here and even though i haven't read all of your metas on the subject i would like your opinion on something. As a fellow shipper of them, do you think that they have a future in the book series? a.i. happily married. I know that that is to much to ask for anybody from grrm, but one can hope :)
well basically, my little future!verse for sansa and tyrion (beginning with my fic 'belief builds from scratch') is exactly what I hope to see for the two of them post-ADoS. like, I want it all - hope and healing and happy endings and, of course, kids! will we get that from grrm? honestly, probably not. but if tyrion can get his act together, I don't think there's anything that makes happiness impossible for sansa and tyrion. in fact, I'd say we're given enough of what makes them compatible - and what makes them both survivors, dedicated to finding something worthwhile in their lives, despite how bleak they might seem - that it's pretty easy to imagine things might turn out okay for them. if only because they're not very good at just giving up and accepting misery.and hey, under the right circumstances - basically, any ending that leaves sansa and tyrion alive and not absolutely unrecognizable - who's to say the things that make them so compatible might not create an arranged marriage that actually works?
still doing that three sentence fanfic thing? i've got one: Darcy/anyone, AU where Darcy is really science smart.
More of a rambling headcanon than anything else. Apparently words and my muse are not my friends today.
.........
The thing about Darcy is that she is smart. Really smart. She hides it behind witty one liners and sarcasm. Never draws attention to herself unless it can’t be avoided.
A Stark by blood if not in name.
Smart enough to know not to go anywhere near Tony Stark. She promised her mother after all.
But it seems that getting into trouble is genetic. Its how she ends up in a backwater town in the desert with Dr. Foster. Darcy feigns disinterest in Jane’s research, but pours over her notes as she transcribes them. Astrophysics wasn’t Darcy’s area of expertise, she wasn’t really sure she had one. Darcy drifted. In the bottom of her suitcase was a folder with an assortment of papers with her name on it, they meant very little to her, just her name and something she studied, mastered enough and then let her mind wander off somewhere else.
She sees the beauty in numbers. In code, and in putting puzzle pieces together.
On every single one of Darcy’s report cards was always the comment ‘Miss Lewis lacks focus.’ It wasn’t untrue.
Darcy sticks with Jane when she has nowhere else to go. Occasionally fiddles with Jane’s equations, just a little bit. Never enough to dim Jane’s brilliance.
Jane only ever looks at Darcy oddly every once in awhile.
When Stark gives Jane and offer she can’t refuse, Darcy is dubious. But Jane is too excited by the prospect of her own lab, shiny new tools and never having to worry about funding again to listen to Darcy’s worries.
Curiosity was always her downfall.
Boredom too.
Darcy plays up to her age, a little loud, little obnoxious, just enough to keep eyes off of her.But for a smart as she is she never sees the human eyes watching her. Sharp eyes and ears that see her hunched over her laptop fixing Erik’s erratic equations, recalibrating Jane’s equipment, reading through classified documents that shouldn’t be on Stark’s servers, and always always holding her tongue.
