After Cole died, Sumo is all that Hank has left. Sumo is a good boy. Intelligent. So when Hank lays down at night, Sumo comes and lays on him (crushing him tbh) and he just stays there. That's because he tries to comfort Hank with his own tiny heartbeat so he can finally find some sleep.

Oh my god. This was so pure I had to shut my laptop for a moment and then reopen it and come back.

It works tbh, most of the time. Sumo is big and fluffy and warm. He has a lot to hold on to. And a steady heartbeat will put Hank out in a few minutes or less.

What a good dog. The best dog. 

This is why Hank will literally shoot the hand off of anyone that looks even slightly like they might mistouch Sumo in any way.

     Through the scope of his rifle, Cyril’s gaze fixed on the deviant RK200 he had been tracking. It seemed calm and still, perfect for him to pick it off. There was no need for it to be reactivated in the future, so a clean shot to the head would suffice. It was better that way. He would not have to even begin listening to the drawn out pleas for mercy.

     Once the shot was lined up for an easy snipe, his finger was about to pull the trigger -- but it moved its head in reaction to someone else. Who was that coming toward it? Cyril could not use facial recognition from just his scope’s sight, but she did not resemble any androids in his database. It was safe to assume that she was a human, and she was making it uncomfortable. Shit, he had to do this quickly---

     And it promptly took off. But of course. Cyril lowered the sniper and rested it against the wall; it was no use to him now, and he would return for it later. Not only would he ensure the deviant did see sunrise, but he would be sure to confront the woman that had been meddling in his affairs. That simply would not do. In haste he descended and, after quickly calculating the probability of their pathing, made chase to catch up with them.
