Sterek Prison AU

Derek picked up a job as a jail guard because he knows that a lot of supernatural beings are caught and he doesn't like the thought of them overpowering humans and escaping to do more harm. So he becomes a prison guard and he's feared by everyone--earning himself the nickname the Blood Hound because he's the Alpha of all Alphas and he'll hunt down anyone who steps out of line
However, Derek's world is overturned when a new inmate comes in, charged with five murders. That inmate is Stiles.
Derek tries to get close to him, tries to ask him what happened, but Stiles is different. He's quiet, cold and angry. When Derek finally gets the chance to ask him what happened, Stiles’ reply is "You left and everything went to shit."
Stiles is in there for three months, and is nearly shanked about twenty times; being the Sheriff's kid in prison is rough, but he comes out unscathed. Stiles can hold his own in a fight and is able to wrestle shanks out of people's hands and wins all the fights in the yard.
But something's going on.
One of the inmates is out to kill Stiles.
One morning, at breakfast, Stiles sits down to eat when suddenly he starts coughing. He coughs up blood and collapses to the ground. Derek rushes over to his side, but he's too slow, blood is spilling from the boy's mouth, he's shaking and cold, and finally he falls still.
Derek stays by Stiles' side as the inmates are put into lock down and evidence is collected. Someone from the sheriff's office arrives to take Stiles' body.
Derek turns in his job; he can't work there after that. But when he gets home, he hears someone whistling a familiar tune--the same tune he had heard every day for the past three months. He steps into his living room and sees Stiles sitting there.
