5 Habits we need to stop
No, this isn’t for everyone but a large portion of us have been guilty, still are guilty, or know someone guilty of these tacky behaviors. I don’t know how they began and I really do not care but we need to stop, ASAP.
1) CP time – What I hate about “CP time” the most is some of us actually take pride in not being somewhere promptly. I mean people actually think it’s funny to tell someone, “I will be there in 10 minutes” but show up an hour later and not even have the decency to call. We will never have timely events because attendees are thinking “shit ain’t goin start on time anyway” and the host are thinking “why start it on time, niggas goin be late.” We should be insulted that we don’t show each other respect and it’s just really inconsiderate. I should not have to lie and tell people a dinner starts an hour before, in order for them to be on time. The only way we can break the cycle is to simply start all events at the designated time, people or not and we need to show up on time. All it takes is once for someone to get to a show late and miss the entire performance, bet 5 they will not be late again. Please let’s stop treating life like the club.
2) Holding seats – It is so irritating when 2 people are holding 12 seats for family or friends that are nowhere near the vicinity. I mean really, folks will have a sweater stretched out across 3, a purse on one, and a stack of programs on the others. If your punk azz family members weren’t on CP time, you wouldn’t have to stretch your legs horizontally to save them a seat. You didn’t pay for those seats or that section and events like graduations don’t confirm WHERE you sit but that you will have one. What’s with this sense of entitlement for something you did not pay for?
